In 2020, she co-founded TheAP, and brought to the fore her more than 20 years of experience in management & regulatory reporting, audit, restructuring & forensic accounting, and M&A transactions.
Her career began in audit, spending almost a decade at Ernst & Young, PwC and a listed Property Group where she covered both local and multinational corporations. She leveraged those experiences to take on forensic accounting, restructuring and corporate advisory at an Corporate Advisory firm. She took on increasing leadership responsibilities, first as Group Financial Controller, then as CFO of both listed and unlisted Singapore corporations.
Pearl is a Certified Public Accountant (Australia), Chartered Valuer and Appraiser (Institute of Valuers and Appraisers of Singapore) and a Certified Practising Management Consultant (Singapore Business Advisors & Consultants Council). She holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
She is currently serving as an Audit & Risk Sub-committee member at the Singapore Golf Association and Treasurer at the Padel Association Singapore.
Min Ming
Director, Corporate Secretarial & Human Resources
Min Ming has more than 20 years of experience in operations, human resource and finance roles, in the banking, retail and education industries.
She takes a hands-on approach in helping business owners achieve efficiencies through her prompt work in corporate secretarial, human resources, and bookkeeping functions.
Min Ming majored in Business Mathematics & Statistics at the London School of Economics and graduated with First-Class Honours.
Michelle Chiang
Director, Tax and Funds Advisory Services
Michelle is a seasoned tax professional with 16 years of expertise in corporate tax with a Big 4 accounting firm and various mid-size accounting firms, including 5 years specializing in individual tax for expatriates and locals in Singapore. She has successfully assisted clients across various industries such as F&B, IT, consulting, and commodities with tax due diligence and compliance matters.
Her advisory portfolio includes restructuring and cross-border transactions, covering critical aspects like profit repatriation, investment financing strategies, and exit gains. Michelle has also worked extensively with fund clients, supporting them in securing tax incentives from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, advising on fund carry structures, and Variable Capital Companies (VCCs). Additionally, she has been instrumental in helping clients preserve significant tax losses and resolving complex tax issues by liaising directly with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).
Other than corporate tax matters, Michelle also has experience in managing individual tax compliance for both locals and expatriates working in Singapore, including tax clearances for foreigners leaving Singapore. She seeks to optimise tax positions for her clients while ensuring compliance with the ever-changing tax regulations.
